If you live in Idaho, here is what you have to know and how you can cast your vote for Drew Kopf for President of the United States in the 2004 National Federal Election.
Idaho State Requirements Idaho Residents may NOT be permited to cast a Write-In Vote for Drew Kopf for President of the United States unless the following is accomplished: Petitions containing at least 5,016 signatures of qualified electors must be filed with the Secretary of State prior to August 25, 2004. The aforementioned signatures must be verified by the respective county clerks prior to being filed with the Secretary of State. Each signature sheet shall contain signatures of qualified electors from only one (1) county. A petition carrier should submit the petition to the county clerk well in advance of August 24 in order to allow enough time for checking the signatures. After verification, the county clerk will return the petitions with his certificate to the individual presenting the petition.
Section 34-708A, Idaho Code, details requirements to become an Independent candidate for the office of President and Vice President.
